- Usually is contained haemorrhage
Uncontained haemorrhage does not make it to hospital. - Approach may be:
- Endovascular
- Reduced perioperative mortality compared to open repair
- Not possible for all aneurysms
- May allow access and an occlusive balloon to be placed above the injury
