      Undrained blood clots, becomes organised and fibrosed causing progressive pleural thickening.
      • May lead to subsequent:
        • ↓ Lung volume
        • ↓ Pulmonary compliance
        • Empyema
      • May require either:
        • Radiological drainage of loculated collections
        • Surgical washout
          Open or VATS.
